Teaser alert! Another shoot down for the garden book in progress! Dana, our wonderful homeowner, welcomed us to photograph her lovely landscape. Who doesn’t love a red door with gorgeous wrought iron detail?! Stunning!
I expected the door to be opened slightly after the quote! My mother had our Victorian in Illinois painted sky blue with a red door. That was in the 1970s when that kind of thing was very much frowned on. Neighbors sent painting contractors by periodically to see if we would change our minds. Not my mom!
At our old house, we painted our front door periwinkle blue. Our neighbors stood and watched us in disbelief!
That’s funny and sounds like something I would like to see.
That looks great!
I love it!
I’m in love!
I know, right?
You should have seen the rest of the house!
Our front door desperately needs needs a new coat of paint…. I’m tempted!!!! This looks great…
It’s a fun pop. The trick is to find the right red or the right shade in any color so it doesn’t come off too obtrusive.
Gorgeous!!
It is.

That’s funny! And yes, I wish the door had been ajar.
What a Pop of Color – makes you torn about staying outside to admire the door as well as invites you into the home – FABULOUS!
Thanks, Renee.
