Ok, so I realize this isn’t just one photograph representing the word “urban” but this series came to mind immediately when I saw this week’s challenge.
This is from several month’s back when I was roaming the streets of San Francisco. For me, it doesn’t get more urban than the quirky nature and activity that surrounds SF. These images were taken in the Hayes Valley district.
This man and his bird were more than happy to pose for me.
Along with his significant other….the furry one was a little more coy.
All in all, these are a typical example of the residents that frequent this area ~ quite friendly and unique.
Don’t go looking for perfection in this neighborhood, that would just be boring!
This little guy has claimed his nice digs in the city.
Ready to zip off at any moment.
All very urban to me!

Oh yes – you have captured “urban” perfectly! Good job.
This is a lovely post… and I enjoy your interpretation of Urban….
I like your kind of urban – bright and happy and full of life. Have a great weekend, Susan.
Such a lovely post with beautiful photos. I particularly like the first one. What a cutie ! Oh..the bird I mean….
Definitely can’t get more urban than the streets of San Francisco.
SF is like urban without the ugly, in my mind. I love visiting my sister and brother there. So much “biological diversity”!
I LOVE San Francisco, it’s such a brilliant city with so much character.
