Amusement Park Chain ~ Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
I decided to enter this week’s photo challenge because I love the theme ~ Simple. When I photograph something, it is always my intent to capture the beauty in something quite ordinary.
This is a chain link at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk used to define the waiting line for one of the rides. Under normal circumstances, nothing about this chain would capture someone’s attention. However to me, the beauty is in the way the links are perfectly connected in unison, holding on to one another and serving a purpose of forming a perfect squadron to its final destination. The gun metal grey color exudes the strength of the chain with just a slight rusting for show of its years of service. Quite lovely!
